Taytay Falls

Back when I was a kid I've always draw a picture of a waterfalls, and always wanted to see one someday.

I fulfill this dream when a friend of mine invited me to go somewhere in Majayjay, Laguna. Majayjay waterfalls.

We don't have our own ride that time but theres a lot of public rides going to that place, dont worry it's cheap fair, most of them are jeepney rides. Our budget that time is just PHP 1000 and trust me its enough.

We only paid a 20 pesos environmental fee, but the local said if you do over night/s it will be 30 pesos. You can rent a tent for 100 to 150 pesos. Just keep in mind that if you stay for the night bring your own light cause electricity is only for the emergency speaker and also to keep the forest vibe in the area.

From the registration in the barangay hall you'll gonna walk approximately 10 to 15 minutes, the trail is easy because the way down to to the mountain is already cemented.
Along the way is a crystal clear stream/irigation and a beautiful green surroundings that realy makes you forget the hustle and bustle in the City.

In the end of the trail,  I was amazed with the beauty of this waterfalls. Approximately 20 to 30 feet high, the water is so crystal clear that you can even see the bottom of it.
The rocky river trail bellow the falls is heaven, the water is so cold it seems like you where soak in an iced water.

Few thing that you should keep in mind when going to these waterfalls.  First when you are planning to go during summer season you might experience a little brownish water cause this time of the year is the planting season for the farmers on top of the mountain, where the source is from which causes to make the color of the water look different than normal. Second:No electricity,  a good thing cause it preserve the forest vibe of the area. Third,  when you are bringing beverages, dont put it to a glass container, its prohibited.

Enjoy!
